Although landlocked, Uganda has been blessed with rich bodies of water that attracts a significant number of wildlife which also form a large part of Uganda’s eco-tourism and protected areas. However, Uganda remains to be one of the poorest nations in the world and is also a hotbed for human rights violations.

Majority of Ugandans live in rural poverty with Ugandan women bearing the brunt of work from helping in agriculture which serves as their main source of income, leaving them less to no time at all to engage in other income-generating activities.
